 TULIP POPLAR 30 gallon Liriodendron Tulipifera - Tulip Tree, Tulip Poplar, or Yellow Poplar is one of the largest trees in the Eastern united States. The tree has been known to reach as tall as 190 feet. It is a very rapid grower, however it is not succeptable to some of the usual problems associated with rapid growing species, such as weak wood strength and short life span. Flowering in April (in the Southeastern U.S.) the beautiful nectar filled flowers are pale green or yellow with an orange band at the base of the petals. The bees that feed on them make, what some would claim, the best baking honey available.

 D.D. BLANCHARD MAGNOLIA The D.D. Blanchard is a fast growing pyramidal shaped tree. It's an evergreen with dark green leaves and rich orange-brown undersides that can reach heights of 100' tall. But in most cases only reach around 50' tall. The D.D. Blanchard grows best in zones 7-9, but have been spotted outside these zones on occasion, preferrin rich, moist, acidic soils with a ph of 4.5-6.5 and full sun. Fantastic for the Southwest landscape. |
